1. Upgrading Your Designation
2. Quick Overview (What This Is & Why It Matters)
Upgrading your designation allows you to progress in your professional journey as your qualifications and experience grow. Each level of designation represents a new stage of competency, leadership, and responsibility.
By upgrading, you:
Unlock new career opportunities and recognition.
Stay compliant with SAQA and CIBA’s professional standards.
Access enhanced member benefits, CPD content, and leadership pathways.
Important: Before upgrading your designation, you must be in good standing with CIBA. This means your CPDs must be up to date, your membership fees paid, and your annual declarations completed. Only compliant members can proceed with an upgrade request.
Upgrading without meeting the requirements may delay your approval, so check eligibility before applying.
