Join with a designation and you get a Chartered title to use after your name. Here's what each one costs this November:

South African fees, per year. CFM and CCFO also carry a once-off application fee (R2,500 for CFM, R5,500 for CCFO), which is paid in full; the 50% applies to the designation fee. Prices include VAT. Namibian applicants and members pay half of the Namibian fee shown on our designation page.

How to claim it
It takes a few minutes to start. Approval usually takes 1 to 2 weeks, depending on verification.

- Create your profile at accounts.myciba.org: a quick form plus your ID and contact details.
- Choose the designation that matches your work, or join as a member first.
- Agree to the Code of Ethics.
- Enter promo code CIBAM50 on your membership application, and CIBAD50 on your designation application.
- Pay by 23:59 on 30 November 2026.
Half price ends on 30 November
From 1 December 2026, the full R1,480 membership fee and full designation fees apply again.

Questions we get asked
Can I join without a qualification?
Yes. Membership is open to people who work with finance in any industry. Designations have their own criteria, and recognition of prior learning and experience is available.
I'm a member of another professional body. Can I join on this offer?
Yes. The joining offer is open to members of other professional bodies.
I used to be a CIBA member. Does this apply to me?
If you resigned, yes, you can rejoin on this offer. If your membership was cancelled after a period of inactivity, this offer doesn't apply, but you can reinstate this November, keep your membership number and have your old invoices cancelled.
If I add a designation later, do I pay twice?
No. Your active membership carries across and you only cover the designation fee. To get the designation at half price, apply by 30 November.
How long does approval take?
Usually 1 to 2 weeks, depending on verification.
What happens after 30 November?
Standard fees apply from 1 December 2026. Applications completed and paid in November keep the Black November price.
