• A Commerce-specific degree or National Diploma with relevant subjects: 3rd year level: accounting; second year level: management accounting, tax, commercial law, auditing (A typical example would be a BCom Accounting or a National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting)
• Four years’ verifiable and relevant experience in accounting and tax

If you have made a payment on your account that is not reflecting on your statement, please send your proof of payment to accounts@saiba.org.za with the subject line "Payment to be allocated: (your membership number)"

Option 1:

• CIBA regularly sends out statements to members to remind them to pay their outstanding fees.

The APL is a self-assessment that all CIBA members with the designation BAP(SA) are required to complete annually. The APL tests the BAP(SA)’s awareness and basic knowledge of the standards required to manage an accounting practice, and provide professional services to clients. CIBA has two invoice cycles: July and January. If you are registered as a member during the period May – October, your membership, designation and licence fees will be due and payable on or before 8 July of each year.

Alternatively, if you are registered as a member during the period November – April, your membership, designation and licence fees will be due and payable on or before 8 January of each year.
