You're keeping the department running. Without the designation, you're leaving money on the table.
CIBA's 2025 Member Survey found a R190,000 annual income gap between designated and non-designated members. You've moved beyond junior finance work — you're the one making everything tie together. Your title and your pay should reflect that. Get the free guide that shows you how.

WHERE THE GAP COMES FROM
The gap isn't about capability. It's about credentials.
You handle payroll. You chase payments. You explain the balance sheet. You make sure everything ties together. Without the title to match, three things stand between you and the income that should follow.
Reason 01
You manage compliance and controls. The title hasn't followed.
You're trusted to keep the finance engine running smoothly — month-end packs, payroll, reconciliations, ad hoc compliance work. But without a recognised designation, employers and clients price your work like junior finance, even when you're running the department.
Reason 02
Your responsibility keeps growing. Your salary doesn't.
You started with reconciliations. Then payroll. Then month-end packs. Then compliance. Same job title. Same salary. The guide includes scope-tier templates so growing responsibility means growing income — not extra unpaid hours.
Reason 03
You're one step from senior finance. The designation closes it.
Moving from financial admin work into senior finance roles takes more than experience — it takes recognised credentials. The CFAdmin designation gives you the professional standing that opens that next door with confidence.

FROM A CBAC MEMBER
"I used to be 'the accounts guy.' Now management sees me as a partner in decision-making. CFAdmin gave me that credibility."

DO YOU QUALIFY?
The CFAdmin has three requirements. If you've moved past junior finance for over a year, you likely meet all three.
The bar is set to recognise practical financial administration work — not gatekeep it.
NQF Level 5 Qualification
A higher certificate, N5, or recognised diploma at NQF Level 5. Most accounting technicians and finance associates already meet this through their vocational or tertiary training. CIBA can guide you to the right pathway if you're still completing it.
Req. 01
Req. 02
18 Months Relevant Experience
Eighteen months of practical financial administration work — reconciliations, payroll, month-end packs, compliance support. If you've been trusted with controls for a year and a half, you are already there.
Req. 03
Mathematics and Accounting
Both Mathematics and Accounting as school subjects, or equivalent through a recognised institution. CIBA can guide you through alternative pathways if you're missing one.
