1. How to Update Your Employment Information

 Keep your employment record current and accurate: Step-by-step guide to updating your employer details, job title, and work contact info in your CIBA profile.


2. Quick Overview (What This Is & Why It Matters) 

You are required to maintain up-to-date employment data in your CIBA profile. 
This ensures your designation stays correctly associated with your current employer and avoids delays in verifications or requests. 
If your employer information is outdated, it may affect your Letters of Good Standing and third-party checks. 


3. Step-by-Step Instructions 

  • Log into your CIBA profile via the Member Portal. 

  • Go to “My Information” and select the Work experience tab. 

  • Click “Edit Employment”

  • Update these fields as needed: 

    • Employer name 

    • Job title / position 

    • Work email address 

    • Work telephone number 

    • Company registration number (if available) 

    • Click Save / Submit to confirm the changes. 

    • Log out and log back in to verify the updates appear correctly. 


4. What You’ll Need 

  • Your CIBA login credentials 

  • Your new employer name and company details 

  • Your job title / role 

  • Your work email address 

  • Your work telephone number 

  • Supporting documentation (if requested, e.g. employer confirmation letter) 


5. Common Mistakes to Avoid 

  • Updating only part of your employer info (e.g. neglecting the work phone). 
    Make sure all relevant fields (email, phone, title) are updated together. 

  •  Leaving your old employer listed. 
    Replace the old record entirely rather than appending to it. 

  •  Not saving or confirming changes. 
    Always click Save/Submit, then log out and back in to verify. 

  •  Entering non-functional email or phone. 
    Ensure contact info is valid and reachable, especially for CIBA notifications.
